User Device Management (DaaS)

Device as a Service (DaaS) is SXiQ provisioning model for the supply, support and maintenance of end user hardware devices and access software. By providing a complete management solution, we can simplify the often complex requirement for maintaining a productive end user device, whilst enabling it to be consumed in a “pay-as-you-go” model.

The key characteristics of the SXiQ DaaS are:

  • Per device pricing model resulting in predictable budgets with simple unit costs
  • Logistics and asset management including decommissioning
  • One phone number to call for problem resolution with apps, network or device issues
  • IT lifecycle management
  • “Bring Your Own Device” support separating business applications from end user device applications

DaaS Workplace Solution Options
There are three levels of service options for our workplace device as a service solution. The best option will depend on the category of user and the service level requirements of your organisation.

Virtual Data Centre (IaaS)

Many organisations are beginning to make the move away from owning and operating their own physical environments, and instead, embracing the Virtual Data Centre (VDC).  The VDC is best described as a dedicated set of resources (or resource pool) on an existing compute and storage platform capable of scaling up or down as required, depending on business peaks and troughs.

The VDC is also an ideal addition to any on-site data centre or compute service that is currently deployed and is a cost effective way of deploying resources as part of a Disaster Recovery (DR) or Business Continuity (BC) plan.

SXiQ VDC services include:

  • Provisioning of virtual or physical services on high performing server infrastructure
  • Comprehensive system management including patching, tuning and ongoing support
  • Detailed incident and change management reporting
  • Service level agreement guarantees
  • Effective replication services for Intel, SAN, mainframe and mid-range platforms
  • A high availability fault tolerant enterprise storage platform providing customised storage requirements
  • Backup and recovery operations including archiving and media management
  • Offsite tape storage services for compliance and archiving
  • Capacity planning and capacity management for your entire storage and backup infrastructure
